ARTEC Summer BBQ 2026: An Evening of Team Spirit, Energy and Togetherness

Once again this year, our Summer BBQ proved to be one of the most anticipated events of the season. In the outdoor spaces at ARTEC, with a fantastic barbecue, music, team challenges and plenty of conversations under the stars, we enjoyed the opportunity to spend time together without agendas or deadlines. It was a chance to get to know one another better as people, have fun and share moments that go beyond roles and responsibilities.

We believe that the best results come from close-knit teams built on trust, collaboration and mutual understanding. That is why we continue to create opportunities like this: genuine moments filled with positive energy that contribute to the wellbeing of everyone at ARTEC.

ARTEC at Tünkers Symposium

On June 18 and 19, we took part in the Tünkers Symposium, an important networking event dedicated to the world of industrial automation.
The meeting offered the opportunity to engage with partners and industry professionals, sharing expertise and experience in Artec pneumatic solutions.

It was a valuable occasion to explore new perspectives, exchange ideas, and discuss how to improve efficiency, integration, and performance in manufacturing processes.

 Cylinders with Hollow Piston Rod

Pneumatic cylinders with hollow rod offer an additional feature that makes them particularly suitable for numerous industrial applications, especially in vacuum systems. These linear actuators combine mechanical motion with a hollow rod integrated into the cylinder structure, enabling compact and efficient system design.

The FT option from ARTEC Pneumatic

The FT option in the coding key identifies the hollow rod configuration without doble rod. However, a version with hollow double rod is also available within Artec’s cylinders range.
The main advantage of the FT execution (with no double rod) is that the rear portion of the rod remains fixed. This feature allows the vacuum generator to be mounted directly onto the cylinder, significantly reducing overall dimensions compared to the version with double rod.

Application Advantages

Pneumatic cylinders with hollow rod (without double rod) represent a versatile solution for many industrial applications. By integrating linear motion and vacuum generation into a single component, they simplify system layout, reduce overall dimensions, and optimize space design.

The FT option is available on the following series:

• SERIE O: ISO 6432 standard cylinders, Ø25 mm only.
• SERIE H: ISO 15552 standard cylinders, on bores from Ø32 to Ø63 mm.
• SERIE P: ISO 21287 standard cylinders, Ø32 mm only.

For SERIE O a version with an anti-rotation hexagonal rod is also available. This solution is particularly s particularly effective in vacuum applications, as it prevents rotation of the suction cup during operation.

A significant milestone for sustainability

With an expansion of 83.07 kWp, we have increased the total capacity of our photovoltaic system to more than 165 kWp, achieving an estimated annual production of over 104,000 kWh of clean energy and a reduction of 33.5 tonnes of CO2. This important milestone was reached together with Energy Intelligence, whom we chose for their expertise in upgrading the photovoltaic system at our site in Cento (FE), on Via Benedetto Zallone.

The project delivered

The project involved the design and installation of a new section on the factory roof. It is a high-efficiency system based on Jinko Solar 585 W modules and SolarEdge inverters, designed to ensure maximum performance and full architectural integration. Thanks to the new advanced monitoring system, we can track production, self-consumption and energy performance in real time, improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.

Our choice

We decided to expand our photovoltaic system with the clear aim of reducing our environmental footprint and making a tangible contribution to a more sustainable future. In this journey, we identified Energy Intelligence as the ideal partner: a company rooted in the local area, able to combine technological innovation, constant support and technical expertise, ensuring system efficiency and specialist advice.

Self-consumption and efficiency

The system will enable us to self-consume more than 75% of the energy produced, reducing our reliance on the grid and contributing to the decarbonisation of the Cento manufacturing district. This result confirms how the energy transition increasingly depends on businesses’ ability to innovate and work together in a practical way.

Joining CentoCER

In addition to upgrading our own system, we have also joined CentoCER, one of the Renewable Energy Communities supported by Energy Intelligence as technical partner. CERs represent an innovative model of energy production and sharing, capable of generating environmental and social value at local level: sharing energy means sharing value, responsibility and vision.

The Cento Carnival Comes to a Close, the Carnival of Europe

Another extraordinary edition of the Cento Carnival, known as the “Carnival of Europe”, has come to a close. It is one of the most celebrated and historic carnivals in Italy, active since 1947. Every year, the event attracts thousands of people, turning our town into a huge open-air stage filled with colour, music, satire, creativity and participation.

Once again, the carnival delighted, surprised and engaged the public with spectacular parades, masked groups, elaborate choreographies and allegorical floats that confirm Cento’s tradition as one of the best-loved and most recognised in the Italian carnival scene.

Allegorical Floats: Masterpieces of Craft Engineering

One of the most fascinating aspects of the Cento Carnival is undoubtedly the creation of the allegorical floats. Behind each structure lie months of work, passion, technical trials and remarkable attention to detail.

The floats are not simple moving sets, but true masterpieces of craft engineering: complex, imposing structures carefully designed to move, surprise and tell a story. Every element is the result of different skills, from design to handcraftsmanship, right through to the animation of the characters and the large-scale scenic effects.

A Tradition that Unites the Local Community

The Cento Carnival is not just a festival: it is a cultural and identity-defining heritage that involves the whole community. Behind each edition are artists, volunteers, builders, associations and local organisations working together to bring to life an event that promotes Cento far beyond its local borders.

This is also the secret of its success: combining tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and spectacle, roots and the ability to renew itself year after year.

A Memorable Edition

With this edition now closed, what remains is the satisfaction of an event that once again has managed to showcase the very best of Cento’s creativity. The allegorical floats, the masks and the energy of the crowd made the carnival a vivid, participatory and memorable experience.

The Cento Carnival is regarded as a true collective ritual, bringing together tradition, satire and high-level entertainment, and attracting visitors from all over Europe. It remains not just a celebration, but a symbol of imagination, skill and local pride.
