September 2019  – STAINLESS STEEL CYLINDERS

Artec’s range of stainless steel pneumatic cylinders includes ISO 15552 cylinders, ISO 21287 compact cylinders, ISO 6432 micro cylinders, round cylinders and round cylinders with clean profile, available both in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel. The range is completed by mounting fixings and rod accessories in stainless steel. Stainless steel cylinders, in combination with other options (epoxy painting, silicone bellows, specific seals), are able to meet the needs of applications that operate in difficult and aggressive environments. These solutions are particularly useful in the food sector, in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, in the marine and naval sector, and in all those sectors where standard products cannot ensure the correct resistance to corrosion.

Come and discover our complete range of solutions for the food sector at the Cibustec fair in Parma (Italy) from 22 to 25 October 2019!

June 2019  – SERIE O: NEW BORES FROM Ø32 UP TO Ø63 mm

Four new diametres are now available in SERIE O – the Artec range of crimped round micro-cylinders with integrated back hinge.
Bores 32, 40, 50 and 63 mm are not included in the ISO 6432 standard, but they have all the technical characteristics of the rest of the range (bores from Ø8 up to Ø25 mm, which comply to the ISO 6432 standard). Moreover, in addition to special execution, several executions -already provided for the rest of the SERIE O cylinders- are available for these new bores: magnetic, non-magnetic, with double rod, with seals for high temperatures, with cushioning, with stainless steel piston rod, in accordance to ATEX Directive.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

April 2019  – CYLINDERS WITH WITH EPOXY COATING

As an alternative to the use of stainless steel cylinders, Artec offers the possibility to cover its cylinders with an epoxy powder coating, which adheres perfectly to the cylinder and protects it from the effects of corrosion and external aggressive agents.
In addition, Artec offers its customers also other precautions and options useful in cases where the cylinder is used in applications in aggressive environments. These options -such as stainless steel piston rod, modular silicone bellows, and more resistant rod seals (EU P5600 or E8 type)- can be integrated in the cylinder with epoxy coating.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

February 2019  – ISO 15552 CYLINDERS WITH INTERNAL ANTI-ROTATION

Artec has developed a new version for SERIE H – ISO 15552 cylinders that prevents the rod from rotating during the working phase.
This solution is applied internally -on the piston- so dimensions and volume of the cylinder do not change, unlike other solutions that use external anti-rotation devices.
It is available on bores 32, 40, 50 e 63 mm.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

November 2018  – SERIE P COMPACT CYLINDERS Ø125

Always attentive to the needs of the market, Artec has developed and manufactured a compact cylinder Ø 125mm with profile tube, which expands the range of SERIE P compact cylinders to ISO 21287.
So, Artec’s SERIE P compact cylinder with 125mm bore has a clean profile with grooves for the insertion of magnetic sensors and fixing holes suitable for using ISO 15552 mounting parts. Furthermore, all versions and options of SERIE P are possible.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

September 2018  – ATEX: SERIE K COMPACT CYLINDERS

Now, also Artec’s SERIE K compact cylinders are compliant -on request- to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, classification II 2GD c T4.
SERIE K compact cylinders, which include bores from 125 mm up to 250 mm, can therefore also be used in areas with potentially explosive and flammable atmospheres. Safety is guaranteed by the attention that Artec puts in the choice of the components and in the construction of its products.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

April 2018  – TANDEM CYLINDERS

Artec is able to realize different versions of tandem cylinders for series of ISO 15552 (Ø32÷Ø320), ISO 21287 (Ø20÷Ø100) and compact cylinders with big bores (Ø125÷Ø250).
Thanks to their design, Artec’s tandem cylinders allow also the union of more than two cylinders, in order to futher increase the force of the cylinder. Moreover, Artec’s tandem cylinders increase the force both in thrust and in pull.
This range is completed by multi-position tandem, rear-opposed and front-opposed tandem cylinders.
On request, Artec realizes all tandem versions also on stainless steel cylinders.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

February 2018  – MODULAR BELLOWS

Artec offers the possibility of installing a modular bellows in silicone on its pneumatic cylinders.
This solution allows to protect the piston rod and the cylinder seals from external agents, such as dust, metal shavings, water, or any other contaminant. Consequently, it ensures longer lasting performances of the cylinder itself.
The bellows is modular and therefore it can be adapted to every dimension and stroke length of the cylinder.

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

November 2017  – ISO 21287 STAINLESS STEEL NON-ROTATING CYLINDERS

Stainless steel ISO 21287 compact cylinders from Artec SERIE X are available also in the non-rotating version with bracket. The bracket itself is fixed to the front cover of the cylinder and it prevents the rod from rotation during the working phase. Also in this version, it is possible to use high temperature seals and to realize the option with double rod.
The non-rotating version is marked by the letter “A” in the key code of the cylinder:
XDMA—.—.–.F

Moreover, Artec offers a full range of stainless steel clevises, rod-eyes, and mounting accessories to be used along with this SERIE.

September 2016 – CYLINDERS WITH WEAR RESISTANT ROD SEALS

On completion of the ISO 15552 range (SERIE H and SERIE U), pneumatic cylinders with Parker E8 rod seal (option ES) or with Parker EW rod seal (option WS) are now available.
The ES option is distinguished by the presence of the E8 rod seal, which combines three functions: sealing, wiping and holding in place. It also prevents dirt deposit at the front face of the cylinder. The WS option, on the other hand, is distinguished by the presence of the EW rod seal which combines the properties of the high-temperature seal with a metal scraper for environments that are particularly prone to dirt. In addition to the functions of sealing and fixing, this type of rod seal offers an extended wiping range while permanently protecting the piston rod against abrasive particles and the seal from excessive wear.
These two new options of rod seal are regularly available in stock, along with high-temperature seals (options VR and VA).

For further information, please contact the Sales Department.

June 2016 – A NEW INDUSTRIAL UNIT

The project for the realization of the new Artec’s industrial unit has officially been approved. In order to improve the logistics and consequently the work efficiency, a new “home” will be built and it will accommodate both the commercial offices and the production department of the company, which are currently divided into two units. Our new headquarters will be built in the new industrial area of Cento (Ferrara, Italy) and it will cover an area of about 8000 sq. m.
The project for the realization of this new structure has been assigned to the architectural firm “Sofia Cattinari” (Modena).
